Renesas Build System: "No space left on disk" Error

Hi

I ordered a trial licence of the RZ/G Linux platform development environment and try to install the Reneaas "RZG-LinuxPF_LinuxCustomizationTool_BuildServer2.0.5". For the test setup, only a Virtual Box Container is available. But the installation worked and I can login into the web interface with the default username/password. The front page shows that there are 12.88 GB of free storage space.

But as soon as I want to create a new user, there is an error: "No space left on disk". Any idea why?

THX for the help.

  • Hi Corono,

According to the Build Server Setup Manual you need at least the following amount of disk space -

100 Gbytes × number of BSPs to be used × at least (number of users of the server + 1)

My guess is that there is a check whether that amount of disk space is available and it is run before creating a new user, that is why you are seeing this error.

    Hi Georgi

Thank you, it worked with a bigger disk.

But I still have problems connecting to the build server with e2studio. I've created a user, downloaded the ssh key file and put this together with the (working) IP into the build server configuration of e2studio.

There is just the short error message without more details:

Check your network connection and the server name are correct.
      Fail to connect to build-server

But the IP works in the browser and the mail address is the same as in the user registration.

    Any idea?

    Hi Corono,

The e2studio uses SSH to connect to the build server, so please check whether you can access the server that way. You can use PyTTY and try to connect using the username and password that you use to log into the build server.

    Hi Georgi

    Thanks for the answer.

I tried to connect to the build server via Putty (port 22) and that works. I can login with the username I use to log into the build server.

There is a warning from Putty at the first login, something about an unsecure key. Do I have to include the ssh-key I downloaded from the build server somewhere in Putty? And how does the e2studio knows the username and the password to log into the build server? It just has the mail address from the user and the ssh-key file.

    THX

    Hi Corono,

PuTTY uses password-based authentication so you don't have to add the ssh key into it. The purpose of this test was to check whether your server is blocking SSH traffic and it looks like it is not.

e2studio uses the ssh key for authentication so it looks like something is going wrong with that.
I will send this information to the e2studio RZ/G team and see what they suggest next.

    Hi Corono,

Please send us the server log generated when e2studio is trying to authenticate with the server.
    Here are the steps -
    1. Log into the server as 'root', password is 'RzgDevAdmin'
    2. Run the command 'journalctl -f'
    3. Try to connect to the server from e2studio and send us the logs generated in you server terminal window

    Regards,
    Georgi
  • Corono,

    Have you resolved your issue?

    Hi Mike
Sorry, I forgot to close this topic.

We decided to use the processors from another manufacturer (decision not relatet to this problem). I haven't solved the problem, but I have no possibility to generate server logs anymore.
