RX family microcontrollers as master and slave for I2C communication

I want to know if it's possible to use one RX microcontroller as a master and one or more RX microcontrollers as slaves for I2C communication. I also want to know both of them can be accessed from a single e2studio IDE.

  • Yes for master and slave.
You can use one e2 studio installation to start 2 instances of e2 studio each working on one project and connect each project to its own E1/E2Lite from one PC.

    Thanks for your response.

I'm facing another issue. I use Renesas E1 debuggers to connect to the micro-controllers. How do I select one of two debuggers from the debug perspective? I don't see an option to do that.

Bad style to add an new question to an old thread.

    - Go to "Run" > "Debug Configurations"

    - Select your debug session

    - Go to the "Debugger" tab and there select the "Connection Settings" tab

    - In "Connection with Target Board" > "Emulator" change the setting from "Auto" and select your E1.
