HI all,I am working on wireless power Transmitter (wireless charger) P9243-GB ,https://www.renesas.com/us/en/products/power-power-management/wireless-power/wireless-power-transmitters/p9243-gb-evk-evaluation-board-p9243-gb#options in that i can make the basic functionality like wireless power transmission with the BPP mode, but the EPP mode and FOD functionality is not working with the same design, i searched for tuning based documents for the EPP mode function and FOD function, no more inputs in Renesas site also, i also followed the same design Recommendations as instructed in the Renesas EVK P9243-GB, also i am using MP-A11 type coil from wurth Electronics, kindly support me to move forward for the same. i need support like calculation for the EPP mode based function using the coil Q-FACTOR or any other required inputs. Hi Sai,The EPP mode and FOD functionality testing is on progress, facing some difficulties with the same for the tuning process, to make proper functionality, still the EPP mode and FOD function is not working as expected, please share if you having any reference document for the same , FYI, i am using the coil in the testing setup, For your Reference:Coil Type - MPA-11Coil Part Number - 760308111 Coil Manufacturer - Wurth Electronics
I have the same issue. BPP works fine up to 10W but EPP fails with FOD. The Q-factor of our board is around 50 while the receiver is about 100 - so it returns error code.
Did you solve your problem?
The EVK datasheet has some instructions for tuning it but i couldn't get it to work. I just set QFOD offset to 0 and QFOD gain to 1 and it's now working but obviously these aren't safe settings and need calibration.
