Problem with e2studio Debug Configuration

Hi @ all,

after my latest update from e2studio V1.0.1.xxx to V1.1.xxx I got some problems with the "Debug Configuration" of the

Renesas GDB Hardware Debugging. If I try to create a new debug configuration for my project, I allways get the following error:

     An error has occurred. See error log for more details.

     com/renesas/hardwaredebug/launch/device/AbstractDebugHardware

The error log file outputs the following message:

    Problems occurred when invoking code from plug-in: "org.eclipse.jface".

Does anybody know how to resolve this issue?

    Hi there,

    Firstly sorry for the problems you have experienced with e2studio 1.1.

    We will have a fix for this problem shortly - we are currently checking it.

    However in the meantime you can work around this by doing the following:

    It is caused by legacy debugger plugins being present.

    1. Close e2studio.
    2. Browse to the folder C:\Renesas\e2studio\eclipse\plugins.
    3. Delete the plugin named com.renesas.hardwaredebug.e1v850_1.0.1.201207131525.jar.
    4. Re-start e2studio and view your debug configurations.

    The exception should no longer appear.

    I hope this solves your problem and you can start to enjoy e2studio 1.1!
