I'm using E2studio v7.8
I have 2 boards with different RX65n devices. The two projects open at the same time in separate instances of E2Studio. Connected to one is a E1 and the other an E2 Lite.
Should it be possible to debug both at the same time?
At present I'm finding which ever I start debugging second stops the other debugging session.
Yet it is possible. I always set the debugger not to 'auto select' but to a specific serialnumber. This way you are sure the e2studio is connecting to the correct board with the correct software to debug…
Many thanks, that seems to have sorted it.
This should be possible.
But, if at some time use and an issue and clicked to "terminate other GDB instances" and also selected the option “remember my decision” that would most definitely cause issues.
Also, are the two MCU reset lines connected together?
Thanks for the reply.
The MCU's are on separate boards so have no effect on each other.
Can you point me to where the "terminate other GDB instances" option is found, so far I havent been able to locate it?
Yet it is possible. I always set the debugger not to 'auto select' but to a specific serialnumber. This way you are sure the e2studio is connecting to the correct board with the correct software to debug. This can be set in the 'run/debug settings' -> edit the correct one -> tab 'Debugger' -> tab 'Connection Settings'-> set 'Emulator' from auto select to the specific one.
Do this for both e2studio instances you are running.
