The micro HDMI resolution settings are different in 2 starter kit boards

Dear all,

We are developing software with 2 HDMI output, we use starterkit + kingfisher

But we found that the micro HDMI supported resolutions are different between 2 EVBs .

Is there any way to let EVB1 also support 1920*720 resolution?

    Do you have the exact screen plug for the two board?

    you can try the tool "edid-decode" to get more information
    ssh root@$H3_IP cat /sys/class/drm/card0-HDMI-A-1/modes | edid-decode

    For Fedora:

    dnf install edid-decode

    For Ubuntu (I guess)

    apt install edid-decode

    On Yocto, you can find "read-edid" (But I never use this recipes).

    I do not have a direct solution for that, but my first guess will be to update the firmware on each board.

    2) Please check the log at the bottom, all of them do not print out 1920x720, but EVB 2 did support this resolution.

    3) We use the same firmware and the same SD card to boot the system. (v5.1.0)

    Thanks for your help. I exchange the panels to different HDMI port, but the resolution is still the same.

    All of the firmware is installed by this manual: https://elinux.org/R-Car/Boards/H3SK#Flashing_firmware

    I install the same firmware for the 2 starter kit.

    The log of mine are are too large, is there any keyword for me to compare?

    I'll try the v5.5.0 version firmware to check again.
