Auto Repeat Button in GUIX: change the auto repeat time

I tried to change the auto repeat time of a text_button (Widget Type) in my GUIX application.

Does anynoe have an idea to to manage this?

Thanks

  • I am interested as well. And, for setting really big numbers, acceleration. And different speeds for different buttons.

    Hi,

Initial and repeat delay for auto-repeating is defined in gx_api.h

You can override these in compiler preprocessor settings but you'll need to build GUIX from Source in order for these changes to take effect. Unfortunately acceleration isn't possible without implementing custom button event handler to take care of this (e.g. count repeats and reduce the delay further on).

  • Hello Phil72,

Has Karol answered your question or do you need any further support?

    Kind regards,

    Hi,
Your solution works so far. Thank you!

But I'm wodering how the original libgx.a (stored in: ..\synergy\ssp\src\framework\el\gx\cm4_gcc) is configured.
There are several settings for "GUIX Source". (e.g GUIX Stack Size, GUIX Event Queue Size...)

Do you know something about that?

    Hello Phil,

Each X-Ware library is built with the same settings as the defaults for the source module.
