  • Hi Surojit,

How's this issue? Are you still having this error?

    Hi JB,

Yes its still there, we are trying to test direct uart communication with the modem using a simple
"AT\r\n" command but the reply is correct only 1 out of 15 times (per say).

We are using DKS7G2 with a SIMCom (SIM7600EI) Modem.
  • In reply to JB:

    Some additional information upon debugging..

    1. sf_cellular_module_reset HardWare Reset SSP_ERR_CELLULAR_FAILED

    2. sf_cellular_serial_init SSP_SUCCESS (Task, Sema, Queue Created)

    3. sf_cellular_cat1_driver_init (doesnt return stack even after size increased to 2048)
    goes to:
    4. sf_cellular_cat1_check_module_init
    goes to:
    5. sf_cellular_cat1_is_module_init
    goes to:
    6. sf_cellular_cat1_wait_for_sys_start
    goes into
    7. sf_cellular_serial_read (loops 20 time) (uses sema 5 sec) returns SSP_ERR_TIMEOUT

    0x24bd <SF_UART_COMMS_Write> SSP_ERR_NOT_OPEN
    0x134ad <R_SCI_UartOpen> SSP_SUCCESS

    g_sf_comms0

sf_comms_init0 not being called This is connected to the second point (2.)
In the configuration however the Auto-Initialization option is "Enabled"
  • In reply to JB:

    Hi JB,
on further investigation I found that SSP v1.5.0 is generating the code for sf_cellular has a bug...

    in
    sf_cellular_module_reset
it calls .. an init function at the end and which call serialuartwrite read functions which use a circular queue and a sema phore which have not been created yet and which conly gets created in..
sf_cellular_serial_init (which is called at a later point)

recommended solution is to use SSP1.6.0 or higher on e2 studio v7.5.0
(I am about to try this now)
