Cache

Hi all,

 

Can anyone explain me how to enable cahe of the sh7211

You don't need to switch the cache on, it is always active by default.

Hi Frankl,

 

Thanks for your help,

I use HEW to run my code, and I want to enable both of piple and cache.

if the cache is enabled is default so piple is same to him, right?

Hi Tuan,

 

FrankL is correct about the cache in the SH7211.

 

As far as the pipeline; if your talking about the 5 stage pipeline, it is a fundamental part of the SH core architecture and is always "working".  Fast memroy (or the cache) will just help "fill" the pipeline without any pipe "stalls" (i.e. no waiting for slow memory access).
