Files and the H8

This may sound dumb, but here I go anyway

I am using the RLCD2378 eval to do some prototyping for our next project.  We have the need to periodically create and send configuration files to our device.  For example a text file of strings.

I don't see how to do this

Can you point me in a direction (manual, example, tutorial ...)

Re: Files and the H8

I think the answer depends on how you connect to the 2378. If you are doing this in a debug environment, then HEW will let you add BIN files to the "Download Modules" folder visible when connected to a target. This would then allow you to load the configuration into memory directly. (You might also decide to use HEW Target Server.)

The 2378 also has many serial ports that would allow for RS232 connections to other devices that could send the strings in ASCII or binary. Or you might try configuring the SPI interface to talk to an SD card, and read configuration information that way.
