start work with m32c

Hello.

I recieved some project to do with m32c and new with it. Before i was work on PIC and BF.

I get working board. Sources i didnt get yet

Now, my client dont know nothing about it: what IDE use, what programmer/debugger use etc. He want me do some changes in GUI of project first, and if all will ok, i will change low level too.

Please, help me with choosing IDE (maybe IAR, i dont know), programmer/debugger

You can either use HEW (http://eu.renesas.com/fmwk.jsp?cnt=product_folder.jsp&fp=/products/tools/ide/ide_hew) or IAR(http://iar.com/website1/1.0.1.0/675/1/).

 

For HEW there are a lot of tutorials on this site on how to setup projects and how to use or you can find some at: http://america.renesas.com

 

Debug Support:
HEW supports ALL Renesas Debuggers. IAR has been working to support more of them, but you should check with IAR to make sure. If you use HEW you can find debugger information here: http://america.renesas.com/fmwk.jsp?cnt=m32c_sim_tools_product_landing.jsp&fp=/products/tools/coding_tools/simulator/m32c_sim
