MCU View is a port pin state monitor which allows a user to dynamically monitor the pin states of a Renesas microcontroller. By providing an intuitive graphical interface, MCU View aids in the bring-up of hardware and provides a powerful debug tool in characterizing port pin related development tasks (such as a low-power mode feature where the state of each port pin can be critical in achieving power consumption demands). MCU View is not a stand-alone application. It is a companion utility to the HEW Embedded Workshop IDE from Renesas. The utility cannot operate without the HEW tools installed on the same workstation.
